We’ll be watching the 2020 documentary, Time. After the film, RAPP leaders Jose Saldaña, Roslyn Smith, and Lisette Nieves will discuss their experiences with the NYS parole system, the fight for family reunification, and RAPP’s current abolition work. RG NYC Abolition Circle members will discuss their organizing with RAPP as a form of solidarity and political education. We hope this evening will be a fun opportunity to connect and hang out! Food and refreshments will be provided. There is limited seating at the venue, so be sure to snag a ticket ASAP!
This event is in honor of the late Kathy Boudin, creator of life-changing programs and organizations in and out of prison. She co-founded not only RAPP but also the Center for Justice at Columbia University, was a close advisor to the Parole Preparation Project, and helped lead the National Council for Currently and Formerly Incarcerated Women and Girls.
If you can’t make this event, please consider donating to RAPP. We’d also appreciate it if, after donating, you could fill out this Google Form Tracker to help us track our fundraising progress.
