(New York, NY) — Today, people who were incarcerated, family members who lost loved ones or have loved ones incarcerated, public defenders, civil rights organizations, and other leading experts as part of the Jails Action Coalition and HALT Solitary Campaign held a healing action and released a new Blueprint to Address the Deadly Humanitarian Crises of NYC Jails. The event included a healing ceremony, poetry, and other healing practices. One component of healing for many people is solutions to prevent future loss, and participants released the Blueprint for this purpose.
