Survived & Punished NY is excited to announce the launch of its podcast, Survivor Chronicles: Free Them All. The podcast page is here, and you can find it on Spotify, Apple, IHeartRadio, or wherever else you listen to podcasts. Survivor Chronicles is part of S&P NY’s mass clemency campaign and is built around the testimony of criminalized survivors and their loved ones who are banding together to demand clemency from Governor Hochul. As they show, Hochul pretends to be pro-survivor but in reality has offered survivors nothing but policing and cages.
Together, we’re saying: ENOUGH. These are stories of resistance, resilience, connection across prison walls, and of refusing the logic of disposability underlying the US prison system. Survivor Chronicles is not just a podcast, but also a curriculum and a call to action. The show notes for each episode will include resources for learning about the criminalization of survival, our lineage of Black abolitionist feminist anti-violence work, and the cruel legacy of Hochul’s and Cuomo’s refusal to grant clemency—as well as ways to get involved and calls to action.
