(Albany, NY) – With the state’s legislative session nearing its end, formerly incarcerated New Yorkers, people with loved ones in prison, lawmakers and other advocates rallied today to demand urgent passage of legislation to create and expand fair pathways home for incarcerated people in response to the murders of Robert Brooks, Messiah Nantwi, and countless others by prison guards and security supervisors. 

Specifically, participants called for passage of the Fair & Timely Parole Act, Earned Time Act, Second Look Act, Elder Parole Act, and the Challenging Wrongful Convictions Act…
