(New York) — Today, Jan Ransom at the New York Times reported on the brutal murder of a 22 year-old incarcerated person by New York State prison guards, this time at Mid-State prison. This murder took place across the street from Marcy Prison, where guards similarly brutally murdered Robert Brooks in December 2024. In response, Jerome Wright, Co-Director of the HALT Solitary Campaign, released the following statement:
