
(New York) – With the FY 2026 New York State budget slated to be enacted this week, advocates and lawmakers are now calling on the Legislature and Governor to turn their attention to enacting parole reform.
Jose Saldaña, Director of the Release Aging People in Prison Campaign (RAPP) and a survivor of 38 years in New York State prisons, said: “Now that the budget is complete, the Legislature and Governor must focus on enacting common sense parole reforms.
