Prisons Must Now Fully Implement the HALT Solitary Confinement Law to Stop Torture, Save Lives, and Improve Safety for Everyone

(Albany, NY) — Albany Supreme Court Judge Lynch ordered the state prison system to end its illegal suspension of the HALT Solitary Confinement Law and to fully implement the law. In response to the decision, Jerome R. Wright, #HALTsolitary Campaign Co-Director and survivor of solitary in NY prisons, issued the following statement:
