COMMUNITY OUTRAGED OVER TWO PEOPLE DYING AT SING SING PRISON AND DEMANDS GOVERNOR IMMEDIATELY START RELEASING VULNERABLE PEOPLE

HALTsolitary: After People Incarcerated at Sing Sing reported that Anthony Douglas and Another Person Died in Their Solitary Confinement Cells Yesterday, People Who Have Lived Through Incarceration Demand the Governor Use Her Power of Executive Clemency to Release People Immediately in Order to Save Lives

(New York) — Today, people incarcerated at Sing Sing prison reported that two people died at Sing Sing late yesterday. Anthony Douglas, who was age 67 and already served nearly 50 years in prison, reportedly died by suicide while locked in his cell and another individual, whose name was not yet disclosed, also separately died by unknown causes while locked in his cell.
