Speakers Call for Urgent Reforms to Prison Conditions and Fair Pathways Home for Incarcerated People Who Have Transformed While Inside

BEDFORD HILLS, NY — Following multiple suicides and deaths and mounting concerns about conditions at Bedford Hills and in prisons across New York, lawmakers, formerly incarcerated leaders, and families with incarcerated loved ones rallied outside Bedford Hills Correctional Facility to call for urgent reforms to conditions inside New York prisons, greater transparency and accountability, and passage of legislation to create fair pathways home for incarcerated people who have transformed while inside.
